LAY-Z-RAK 1 Bike Kit - Add To Existing Rail

For those who don't want to remove the front wheel whilst transporting your bike but require a way to secure in your vehicle.

LAY-Z-RAK 1 Bike Kit everything needed to add to your existing rail setup.

Designed to be used in the same way as our popular Fork Mount system.  Fitted at the rear of the van giving full access to secure each bike.

Add to an existing rail in your vehicle, drop in supplied sliding nuts and add your LAY-Z-RAK.

LAY-Z-RAK 1 Bike Kit ticks all these boxes, LAY-Z-RAK will hold 26″- 29″ wheel diameters and tyres 18mm (Road bike) –  2.6″ (MTB)

When not in use the LAY-Z-RAK Lays flat so it doesn’t get in your way.

Fitting LAY-Z-RAK

It’s simple to fit too, add to your existing rail, slide in 6 x T-nuts,  Position the LAY-Z-RAK on the rail and attach with the 6 x stainless screws.  Next add the flat bungee that slides through the lower plate, you are almost there, now add your bike.  We recommend positioning the front wheel into the rack whenever possible as this gives the best stability when in transit. Top and tail also works.  Now you need to secure the bike, with the wheel sat in the lower plate, lift the Top plate forward so it sits over the top of the wheel, this will hold the bike in place.  Connect one side of the bungee to the top plate then lastly pull the other side of the bungee and connect with the top plate.

Your Tyre should sit touching both V’s of the lower plate and the V of the top plate.

Just one more thing ! we supply a velcro strap for your rear brake lever, wrap it around the handlebar grip and brake lever.  Making sure to apply the brake before doing up.  This stops the bikes from moving when you pump the brakes in the vehicle!!

Removing the Bike:

To Remove: hold onto the bike, remove the velcro strap, drop the bungee straps, lower the top plate and wheel the bike out.

*Note LAY-Z-RAK has been designed to be mounted at the rear of the van (Tailgate end).  Braking moves the weight of the bikes toward the front of the vehicle, LAY-Z-RAK grips you bikes during this process

All orders received by 12 midday will be dispatched on that day (Monday – Thursday) Orders placed after 12 midday will be dispatched on the next working day.  All orders received Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays  will be dispatched Monday/ Tuesday (After Bank Holiday).  Orders are sent by Courier which is usually next working day UK and 7 days International. Please note however with increased online shopping especially during bank holidays and seasonal holidays delivery can take slightly longer, this is out of our control for which we appreciate your understanding.

 International customers – deliveries may take longer than stated, this could be due to unforeseen delays ie: Customs clearance procedure, unpaid import duty or tax etc…

Tracking information will be emailed to you on the day that your parcel is dispatched. 

All products are fully checked before dispatch.  You have a ‘coolling off’ period of 7 working days after delivery date.  In the unlikely event of you receiving damaged goods simply call +44 (0)1323 892320 or email info@blokproducts.com  We will have the products picked up, at our expense, and give you the option of a full refund or a replacement at no charge to you. Please reuse the packaging material for return courier. 

Unfortunately we are unable to refund for goods that are returned not faulty if they are returned in an un-saleable condition, ie they have signs of being used, scratched or have been damaged by the customer.

You will be liable for any delivery costs incurred for returned goods unless they are returned for defective or faulty reasons.
